Course Description

People affected by trauma are expected to perform in the workplace, but often have difficulty with environments that treat them as replaceable. This can lead to employee underperformance, burnout, and turnover in the workforce. Healthy interactions with the workplace can help both the individual and corporate performance. This workshop addresses principles and practices that allow for employers to create a trauma informed workplace.

Learning objectives: Participants in this course will be able to:

  1. Identify four principles of a trauma-informed workplace
  2. Utilize two assessment tools for measuring a trauma-informed workplace
  3. Implement three steps to creating a trauma-informed workplace

Katie Vernoy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Theater from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.
